a home in the park

in august, we felt the time was right to pack up our little victorian house with big windows overlooking our cosy street and to move upwards. we’re moving to a house in a park. we have a home of our very own. a home which we can decorate. it’s a home with a long garden with green, green grass and beds for flowers. it’s a home with roses embossed in the ceiling from over 100 years before. it’s a home and it is all our own, and it’s a place where the foundations of our future will grow deep, comfortable roots.
we’ll sit and burn applewood fires in the winter and stargaze from the warmth of the cottage-style kitchen. in summer we’ll put our hammock up and spend our weekends asleep under the sun. we can go for walks around the park and nathan can join the cricket team where i will take picnics to go and watch him play. i can finally grow a lavender garden and fill the shelves with all our memories from floor to ceiling. it’s a place where our imaginations will run wild. and the best part? we couldn’t love it more.
ps: you’re all invited to come and visit!
