Dear “Tiny Teeth”,

So today you turn the tender age of 16, but to me you’ll always be my baby sister. Happy Birthday Libby, my rock, my inspiration. I’m forever proud to be your big sister.

Thank you for being the kind of sister people would die for. We grew up making secret dens out of blankets and whispering hushed sleepy stories to one another. We’d spend glowing summer days chasing one another with the hose, and sucking on ice cubes. We’d sit for hours on the beach with Papa and build real size sand boats to sit in as the tide would come in to lap at our toes. We’d scream, bite and attack one another but then always end up asleep on the sofa together hours later. My recollections are a warm haze of happiness and deliciously toned scenes forever imprinted in my memory.
